Since 2008 we have provide programs in birding, science education, photography and beyond! Our programs offer you the amazing opportunity to be part of conservation, education, and community engagement in one of the most bio-diverse regions on our planet!

We are open to a variety of ideas for volunteering! It is our goal to engage with local and international communities and work together toward our common goals. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your ideas and questions regarding volunteer opportunities with CECCOT and Hacienda Herrera.

Our Mission

CECCOT’s mission is to promote human-integrated conservation of tropical rainforest, offering learning opportunities on research, conservation, education and sustainable livelihoods for the local community and visitors of all ages.
